Our Story
It all started with our son Liam's first birthday that was themed "Old MacDonald had a farm". We wanted to have a barnyard petting zoo for the kids so we bought six chicks from a local farmer and borrowed two goats from another. Little did we know that this was the start of our journey as Organic Farmers.

We built a coop for the little chicks that we decided to keep and we loved our experience with the little goats so much that we decided to get one of our own. All this in a small town on 1/2 an acre. We quickly realised that we didn't have the space for the lifestyle we wanted.
We decided it was time to take the leap and do the unthinkable and buy a farm. Neither my husband nor I had a farming background but we had a dream and a passion for making that dream become a reality. We found a beautiful century home outside of Alexandria, ON that we fell in love with right away. It had a wrap around porch, a fireplace, lots of space, a strong Mennonite built barn and a beautiful orchard. We were smitten to say the least and so we bought the farm.

Meet Our Family
Julianne Theoret and Gilles Maisonneuve were a match from the very beginning as they both always dreamed of having a farm from a very young age. However neither of them had any farming background or experience other than their vegetable garden. After having their two children, Liam and Aurore, they knew they had to make a change and go for their dreams.
